I chose the MSc Finance and Financial Law because I wanted to gain an in-depth technical view of how corporate finance and project finance transactions work from both a financial and legal point of view. The programme far exceeded my expectations and went into great detail around the legal aspects around the different banking transactions.
I found the programme flexible, which was a very important aspect for me when choosing what programme to do because I travel often. I felt I had control over my studies and could study on my own timetable. The programme allowed me to keep a good work-life balance and make time for family while gaining a world class qualification.
Although I have spent the past 10 years working in investment banking and development finance, I had never really studied finance. This qualification gave me the academic background that I needed to perform well in my current position and in future roles to come. Doing the MSc was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I can already see the benefits on a daily basis at work.
